Facebook Launches ‘Watch’, A New Platform To Watch Shows On Facebook

Facebook, just like Apple, is looking to get into producing original video content, or at least hosting it on its platform as Facebook announced its Watch platform
This doesn’t really come as a surprise as it seems to be in line with what Facebook has been trying to achieve recently.
According to Facebook, “We’re introducing Watch, a new platform for shows on Facebook. Watch will be available on mobile, on desktop and laptop, and in our TV apps. Shows are made up of episodes — live or recorded — and follow a theme or storyline. To help you keep up with the shows you follow, Watch has a Watchlist so you never miss out on the latest episodes.”
As usual Watch will be catered to your tastes and preferences and is personalized so that you will be able to discover new shows and content based on what you like. What makes Watch particularly interesting is the fact that it will incorporate features from Facebook Live, which is reactions, meaning that as you watch a video, you’ll be able to see how other Facebook users have reacted to certain parts of it.
What a great platform to be expected from the Facebook watch but it's so Unfortunate that  as it stands, Watch will only be available in the US, but even then its availability will be limited at the start. However Facebook expects that eventually they will expand it to more users in the future.
The limiting of the availability is suggested by zonextreme to be due to the fact that the performance of the new features is to b tested and also the servers that is going to run the availability of the video to a lot of countries is not yet available since videos are  involved.
