The terms which say you can only use its content for streaming, and you could argue that it's unethical too – many artists depend on YouTube's ads for their income, so any ad-free playback you do is altering their income flow. Download video for offline viewing is similar to using adblocks. So if you decide to continue with this post it's at your own risk.you are advice to contact the video owner and ask for the consent for you to download the video. If you are permitted then you are good to go.

Saving video offline on appleOS with documents5 app

Firstly install a app called documents5, it is a file manager but it also have the capability to download videos from YouTube . The process need your attention but it's going to be easy.

First of all, find the clip you want to download in the YouTube app for iOS or in Safari. Once you’ve found it, tap the Share icon and then Copy Link.

Now open the Documents5 app and locate it's Web browser icon,a little compass at the bottom right of the screen , click on it and goto savefrom.net. When the page open up paste the url of the YouTube video you copy into the box provided on the site and start downloading the file.

When the download is complete the video will appear in the Documents5's download section from which you can drag it over Photos > Camera Roll so it’s available from outside the Documents5 app.

Saving YouTube video on Mac os

On a Mac there are stacks of options for downloading YouTube videos , but one of the most straightforward is MacX YouTube Downloader (also available for Windows). All you need to do is add the link and choose the quality options, and you can download multiple clips at once.
